Hey folks, tomorrow is Conchi's annual Alhambra Night. It's a really fun all-day event with a bellydance bazaar and show in the evening.

Anaya Gypsy will be performing in (aka "rocking") the show along with lots of other great folks. And a bunch of us got our old costumes, jewelry, and wares together and I'm hosting an "Anaya Table" at the bazaar. Come find a bargain, and then stay for the show! It's a really fun and laid-back event, and the bazaar is cool.
Hope to see some of you there. It's at The Place on Vine Street; bazaar all day, show at 7:00 PM.

And I think we pretty much rocked it with the Raquy drum solo, people seemed to love it. I think Katy ordered a DVD, so we'll get to watch the whole thing soon.

Sun, July 20, 2008 - 5:09 PMThe last time I saw you guys perform was at the Midwest Hafla (just over a year ago) and you've made a huge leap! The intro was powerful (and fun) and I really enjoyed the whole choreography!

I keep hoping it comes early (even though both other kids went 4-5 days over there due date), because I can't imagine another 2+ weeks!!!!!!!!! Hope to see everyone back at class soon!!!!!! xoxoxox

Rachel! I keep wondering every day if I'm going to get an e-mail or something from Katy telling me that you've had the baby. Take care of yourself and keep us posted.
Nevik, I don't think anyone in AG remembers the Midwest Hafla as one of our better performances. Music issues led to cueing issues led to dance issues...we were mostly disappointed in ourselves from what I remember! I'm glad you've got a better association in your mind for AG after the Raquy drum solo. :o)
I had a great time at the show. So many colors and props from several different acts. It was a fun change from the last few tribal shows I've been to. There's really tons of belly dance happening in Cincinnati. -

Rachel, you better send up a flag when we have a new Anayalator in our midst!
