Two new costume pieces arrived on Saturday and I am ready to try them out...
Snacks prepared last night. My husband knew what I was making and as I am putting dinner on the table he goes, "Where's that cheese dip?"
Apparently that was more on his mind than what I had just plated. . .
I even came in early today to leave early to take care of the dog, get everything together, etc...
Are you going mostly dressed?
I fear dressing, makeup hair, etc... with 30 other people trying to do the same thing in the same place. . . -

Tue, December 18, 2007 - 9:00 AMPutting on most stuff early, I think, for the same reason. Good thing I can put on stage makeup in the dark in a moving car with one hand in an oven mitt.
Here's the plan, in case anyone doesn't know:
6:30 - 7:30 - group class for all levels
7:30 - 9:00 - hafla! We may take some of the first half hour to snack and let people get dressed up and stuff. Performances will probably start around 8:00.
Excited to see what everyone's come up with! -

Tue, December 18, 2007 - 10:47 AMYay! I'm totally excited even though I just ate a metric fuckton of cheesey starchy cream of something soup casseroles at my office Christmas lunch. And Kahlua cake. blah.
I got the grub all together and carried 34 different bags in to work with me this morning, so somewhere in there I should have enough costumery/jewelry/make up to get myself together. And I even remembered my music for my solo :o)
I think the solo is just going to come down to me listening to the music a ton between now and the party, knowing where the music changes are, and remembering which moves I wanted to do at key points...the rest is left up to the moment!
Par-tay! I'm kinda nervous... -

my husband's out of town this week on biznass and I only grocery shopped for dinner and produce.
meaning: Zone bars and fruit/veggies for lunch and breakfast it is.

Wed, December 19, 2007 - 8:07 AMIt was a blast! Everyone did a great job, and there were lots of cute costumes. I took a bunch of pictures, and of course forgot my USB cord so I can't load them today. duh.
I think we should make the student hafla a seasonal event, as in once each season. At the very least, maybe twice a year. It was really cool to see so many different fusion pieces.
