just wanted to say everyone did a great job last saturday. :)
my parents and husband were there and they all enjoyed the performances too!
although my husband admitted having a hard time looking at everyone since they were all "half naked." He said that it looked like certain people were looking at him but he didn't know if he should return the eye contact because he didn't want them to think he was staring at them...you know all those boobs and bellies. :) hahaha always the gentleman. ;)

I know Matt said he had a really hard time getting used to the idea that it's OK to watch and appreciate bellydancers. Seems like most well-mannered men are taught that you shouldn't ogle woman or stare at exposed skin, and so watching a bellydancer perform is kind of challenging. He said he had to really work at getting over the feeling that he was being somehow rude or predatory.
Stupid puritanical American values.
